Remember that the purpose of stretching is to stress the skin and trigger the response that creates new skin cells. This does not happen immediately. Injury from going too fast is a common problem among men that begin stretching.
Ideally, you want to put tension on your skin as continuously as possible, but if you ever experience prolonged pain, then take a break until it heals.
If you continue stretching during pain, you may irritate your skin to a point where it thickens into scar tissue depending on what is causing the pain.
That’s why we’re only going to start off stretching twice each day for at least 10 minutes.
